is the term pagans use at nude pagan events. It means the only thing you are clad by (wearing) is the sky (nothing but air). Wouldn't it be fun if NBTSC was a nude event. Nudity doesn't mean sex (that is unless you subscribe to the anti-sexuality culture). Nudity is just freedom. And if it was a nude event, then that doesn't mean that you have to be nude. It just means that you can choose to and nobody minds. Lots of guys go around shirtless at camp, so we could at least start by everyone be allowed to be topless. I know this is an impractical idea but I wish that it were so still. What do you think? Reply
It seems like people don't really want nudity at camp, so I won't advocate it. But I will say, what really help bring the option of nudity too a group is water. If there is a pond or a creek, or even a pool around, people have a reason to take off their cloths other than just to take them off. That way if you are not comfortable with yourself, just wear something to swim, and everyone else can still go naked. But it's also going to stay farily contained to the water area because people have no real reason to be naked in other place. Another good point is that this way it's IS ok to be naked, so changing really quickly wouln' be a problem at all. —Josh, who frequnets a music festival where is there a body of water, and indeed naked bathers. fun stuff!:) Reply
I think a nude Camp would be kinda cool, but I don't think it should happen at NBTSC. It would require you to be comfortable with nudity in the first place, which a lot of cool people aren't. If you have BodyImage or SexualAbuse over your head, you're unlikely to be comfortable. — Charlie Reply
I'll have to go with no way buster on this one. Nude is cool, under certain circumstances. NBTSC is cool. Nude and NBTSC is not cool. It's been a vigilant and sometimes upward battle to keep the reputation of camp an upstanding one. Reply

We have been known to have indecent exposure workshops, which basically consist of a bunch of people walking around in bras. But other than that... I think that could be a good thing to have. However, camp is not the place to have it. It just wouldn't work at NBTSC, for various reasons. (Like pissed off parents trying to shut camp down, or not being allowed to use the camp site anymore). I agree that it probably wouldn't go over with parents, but it still sounds fun. Maybe more things like QuoVadis where we are the only ones in charge will stem off from NBTSC and then we could all be skyclad. I'll just keep hoping for now. Reply
I say, if you want to be nude, or whatever else you might want to do, sex, drugs, whatever, do it on your own time, insted of trying to bring it to something that already seems to work. —Ryland Reply
I don't see NBTSC as about nudity, and I don't think most people go there in hopes that there will be nudity. I don't think it would be fair to those who want to go to NBTSC for everything it already is because some people might not want to be involved in the nudity, even if they weren't obligated to participate. I think there are more people who might be opposed to the idea, including a lot of worried parents. Personally, I would be uncomfortable with nudity in such a large group setting, and I don't see how it is a neccesary addition to all of the wonderful things that can go on at camp. Reply
Obviously, nudity doesn't equal sex, but I think that oftentimes it is sexual. I'm not anti-sexuality, but it really doesn't strike me as appropriate to bring that kind of energy to camp. Camp is already a very intense, life-changing experience, and while there are plenty of things that could be added to it, I don't think nudity would work.
