Well, It's always hard when someone asks you to tell about yourself... But I'll try my best. And I suppose these things really can tell you a lot about someone, not by what they say, but simply by how they say it, so here goes. I don't think most people actually do know me, since I tend to be really quiet when in large groups, but although I might not talk much, I'm almost always paying attention to the people around me. People fascinate me (yes, you!), and I think I might like to study sociology and/or psychology later on in life. I'm also obsessed with music. I LOVE ROCK! Classic rock, pop-punk, and lately progressive metal, and I've just just started to learn guitar, although it doesn't help that my guitar was made for a ten year old sized kid! But hopefully I'll get a proper, (maybe even an electric) one soon... I like reading novels, and writing poetry and short stories, although to date I've only actually finished three of them (stories, not poems!). I'm lazy, I see beauty in things that many other people miss, I like photography and cinematography, I've been called a loner quite often, I don't particularly want to spend lots of time with most people I know, so if I actually want to hang out with you, perhaps you should be flattered... ;) Then again, I haven't really met many people I feel I connect with, so that's probably why! I love sarcasm. Genuinely stupid people piss me off (luckily I haven't met an abundance of stupid people in my lifetime...). Oh, and most of the time, I actually do care. Honestly! Even if I don't know you very well, even if I don't particularly like you! I usually care about your problems... Don't ask me why. Oh, and I'm weird. In case you hadn't guessed it by just reading this. This was taken nearly word for word from my Facebook profile, so I should probably add a bit more info. I'm a 17 year old unschooler living in the Montreal area, and I've NEVER met another unschooler my age, so I've begun to feel like a bit of a freak really. I'm REALLY looking forward to heading to Vermont this September, and meeting all these new awesome sounding people!! I hope I enjoy this camp as much as I think I will, and I've vowed to myself that for once, I will not hide in a corner and be shy. I will force myself to talk to everyone, every age, intimidatingly cool looking or not! :P I guess a bio can only say so much, because re-reading this it seems I've left out so much, or could phrase things differently, better, but since I'm not sure how I'll just leave it as it is. Update July 30
I worried about unschooling for a while, but you know what? Right now, I'm totally happy with it. I feel like the world is full of endless possibilities just waiting to be explored, and there are marvelous things around every corner! My life isn't perfect or anything, but I'm at peace with where I am in my life. All good. :-) Oh, and I just realized that after I come back from our cottage in a week and a half (we leave this weekend), it will be only a bit over a month until NBTSC!! Squakahjgjb!! No words can describe how exited I am! Seriously. I can't wait to meet all of the awesome people! Reply
Being very bored at the moment, I came up with the brilliant idea to add a few photo's of me to my page :-) Reply

Now I think of it, I take too many pictures of myself. How vain! It's just that other models get bored, get annoyed, wander off, and give you funny looks (*cough* my sister *cough*). And it's just so darn much fun! :-P Reply
If you want to get to know me better or ask me anything, I'll be more then happy to talk to you :-) Reply
I would be very grateful if anyone wants to check out some of my poetry at www.art-is-expressions.blogspot.com and if you leave some feedback, I will also be extremely happy :-) Reply

I'm curious, how do you pronounce your (awesome sounding) last name? —Ben Reply
I was really looking forward to meeting you, because I share a lot of the characteristics you list in your bio (e.g. disliking stupid people—if someone is too dense to realize when I'm dissing them I really hate being around them) and then I saw you were going to east coast. Alas and alack! I'm going to the West coast sessions, which means I won't meet you. :( I'm sure you'll enjoy camp, though! - JuliaL Reply
Awww :( it's sad I won't meet you guys. I thought about going to Oregon, but it's a LONG trek from Montreal, so it just didn't work... I might go there next year if I like camp as much as I hope I will though, since I might be starting Cegep (a pre-university thing that pretty much everyone in Quebec goes to)which starts early in the fall so I wouldn't be able to make it to Vermont. So hey, I might meet you guys next year instead!—Isabelle Reply
It's a shame, you seem like a pretty awesome person and just from this page we have a crazy amount in common. Reply
