Hello, and welcome!
I see you've stumbled upon the website I've put up for this little album I'm going to put out eventually.
So, first of all, a little about me: My name is Neal, I'm a musician in Vancouver BC, I play percussion and drums with the North Shore Celtic Ensemble. Some of my many musical influences include Ani DiFranco, the Grateful Dead, Paul Simon, (and Art Garfunkel too), as well as every local musician I've had the good fortune to jam with, or just hear play. But enough about me...
It all started out rather innocently as a lesson in engineering at Studio 57 with Harold, a friend from the Unschooling community in Vancouver who happens to have a recording studio in his basement. So, after going over the basics of board-work and what the various gadgets in the studio do, we decided to try and record something, and so the project evolved into the recording of the album, which I'm calling "Phoenix"
In the rest of the site I've put up Liner Notes, so you won't be left thinking that I did everything myself, MP3s so you can hear some of the album and get all enthusiastic about it and eventually buy it if/when it's actually released, and some Contact info in case you want to tell me how much you loved the MP3s. When it is actually finished, I'll put up an order form for the CD or something, but let's not get ahead of ourselfs, eh?
